REFLECTIONS
What this was about:
Fort Bend hosts an annual Film Fest every year, and last year I had won second place in the 60 second short. I had decided to take a step further, and had decided to try to enter in the short film category this year, instead of the 60 second one.
I went to my long time best friend + long time collaborator, Musa Ashraf to co-create this short film
I wanted this to be better than the 60 second short, and it was... 100% percent. However, I, personally, wasn't happy with how the overall product ended. It felt rushed, it felt edgy, it felt like it was trying too hard. I had an initial vision, and it didn't turn out the way I had intended. I wanted it to be surreal, awkward, confusing. It came off as a little brash, a little harsh.
It was an experience though. We learned a lot. We developed a lot. We came out stronger and hungrier to do better.
How you feel about it is completely up to you, and that's why I've added the short film for you to see how you feel about it!
Enjoy!
Synopsis:

Not all dreams come true. Although me and Musa had made this with the intent of winning first place, we sadly didn’t make it all the way there. Here’s a video documenting our experience with failure and how how we handled it.
